You are on a journey. A "healthy lifestyle" journey.
You want to be in control of what you eat. Make it easy. Save money but maximize the taste and nutrition. No unhealthy additives, just all natural ingredients.
Hopefully this Peanut Butter and Honey ENERGY Bar will be part of your journey.
For those busy days either working, playing or working out. For parents with young children or young adults busy with schooling. These will help give you that little boost to keep going.
Does that sound good? Well, lets make these for you to find out.
DRY
WET
First, in a food processor or high powered blender place the Oatmeal, Protein Powder and Cinnamon then blend for 30 seconds. You don't want to make oat flour, but you want the oatmeal to become crumbles.
Next, add the Dark Chocolate Chips, and chopped Dates. Blend this for up to 30 seconds. You want to have tiny bits of everything.
Now, time for the WET ingredients. Add the Peanut Butter, Honey and Almond Milk. Blend long enough to where it is all combined. Again, you want to have some small bits of the Chocolate chips, Dates and chunky Peanut Butter.
Now, we used a 8x11 pan, lined with parchment paper. Lightly spray it with some oil of your choice (we used Coconut) and press the batter into the pan. Try to make it as even and smooth as possible. Once you've done this, cover it with plastic wrap and place it into your freezer for up to 30 minutes.
After that 30 minutes, it's time to cut them up into your bars. We like to keep these stored in our freezer in an airtight container. ( they do not get rock hard )
Pull one or two out when you know you are going to be on the run or having a busy day where you know you will need a little "boost of energy" to keep going.
We hope you enjoy these as much as we do!
