Triple Chocolate Protein Donuts Recipe

Mmmm, Donuts...but wait! Isn't your typical donut nearing 30 grams of fat? For most people, that means two of those bad boys and you're already nearing your total daily fat consumption.

Not cool!

Well, unless you're eating our Triple Chocolate Protein Donuts Recipe that is! At only 6 grams of fat per donut and almost 10 grams protein these BUFF Donuts are guaranteed to keep that physique in check and satisfy that sweet tooth.

Ready? Let's do this!

  • 4 Whole Dried Dates
  • 1/4c - 27g Almond Slices
  • 1/4c - 25g Almond Flour
  • 1/4c - 27g Coconut Flour
  • 1 T. Baking Powder
  • 1 T. Cocoa
  • 1 Scoop Chocolate Protein Powder
  • 1 Whole Egg
  • 2 Egg Whites
  • 1/4 c - 60 ml Chocolate Almond Milk
  •
  • Topping:
  •
  • 4 Chocolate squares
  • 1/8 c - 14g Almond Slices

First, in a food processor,  blend up your dates and almond slices till crumbled. (these will help sweeten and moisten the donuts)

Then in a mixing bowl add all the dry ingredients.

Whisk thoroughly.

Now add your wet ingredients and mix until completely blended together. The consistency is like brownie batter.

Spoon this into your donut pan. Smooth the tops as much as you can. ( this will be the side the topping goes on )

Bake in your preheated oven at 325 for 8 to 10 minutes. At 8 minutes check them with a toothpick.  If it comes out clean they are done.

Let them cool for several minutes before you remove them from the pan. Let completely cool before you put the topping on.

Topping:

Crush your almonds by gently pressing the bottom of your measuring cup over them.

Microwave the chocolate squares for 30 seconds at a time, just until soft. (Don't boil it or burn it... just until it's soft.)

Last, dip your donut into the chocolate then into the almonds one at a time.

Brew up your favorite coffee or tea and enjoy!!
