| B.U.F.F. Dudes HYPERTROPHY BOOK
Bought the hypertrophy book as I was stuck in a weight training plateau. It made me re think my routine which I have not done for some 40 years, I am a stubborn Biochemist, but I love this book so simple, I was not sure about some exercises but I run the Buff Dudes tutorials on YouTube while I train, what is not to like... To sum up, a brilliant precise book! If you want an encyclopedia of muscle growth go elsewhere, if you want to be in a condition of hypertrophy, follow the Buff Dudes advices (Arny Joke)
I have been following these guys for years and have always loved there comedic yet informative videos on weight lifting. When I saw they were releasing a program with different difficulties or stages I was elated. Unfortunately, what I received was very vague program that didn’t entail much printed on a flimsy spiral notebook. My gym doesn’t have many cable machines needed for program and they offer no alternative exercises to perform instead of. No ideal starting weight to progress if you are a novice, intermediate, or pro. All of the information was more brocode than anything science based and useful. Overall don’t think I would recommend the book to others especially for 50 bucks.

Sorry to hear you feel our plan is underwhelming. Regarding it being vague, did you get a chance to read the stage introductions? We wrote these specifically to help you understand how you'll be progressing and what benefits will follow.
For ideal starting weight, it wouldn't be feasible for us to make a recommendation that would suit everyone. Age, height, weight, experience and more will factor in. We included the logbook in the back of the plan in order to help you find a weight which feels comfortable for you and then adjust accordingly in the following weeks. The spiral notebook was a specific choice, as a glue-bound book wouldn't hold up as well in the gym with repeated use. And finally, we purposefully tried to use as many dumbbell and barbell exercises as possible (while limiting machines and cables) to ensure as many people as possible would be able to use the plan no matter where they're working out.
Your suggestion to also offer alternate exercises is a good one, and we'll be sure to include that in future plans. Again, sorry you were disappointed! I hope you're able to take a second look at it and find the benefits we strove for!

I love these guys. I still watch the old videos and I have been wanting to follow the exercises on one of their books. This one looks amazing.
